Corrales-Castillo III on tap for February, but which network will land the fight?

Judah-Mayweather discussions continue

World lightweight champion Diego "Chico" Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo are so eager to face each other for a third time, that they've urged their respective representation to get the rubbermatch done as soon as possible. Moments ago Bob Arum informed Boxingtalk.com that HBO has made an offer to stage Corrales-Castillo III on World Championship Boxing on February 11. "Showtime has the right to match the offer, so it's not definite that the fight is going to be on HBO just yet," said Arum, who preferred not to discuss the specifics of the offer or his opinion of Showtime's capability to match it. Arum did mention  the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas as a possible site. Top Rank could be spending a large chunk of February in Texas, since Arum also told Boxingtalk that WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito will defend his title against Manuel Gomez as he headlines a February 18 PPV, slated to take place in Corpus Christi. Remember where you heard it first! (10:00 PM EST)

In other news: Arum confirmed his meeting with Don King and stated that he hopes to finalize a deal with the high-haired one early next week for a welterweight superbout between world champion Zab Judah and pound-for-pound leader Floyd Mayweather . Should both parties come to terms Arum says the bout will take place on April 8 and not March 11 or March 18.
