Kerston Manswell W10 Corey Sanders... Corey Sanders may have done something no boxer in history has ever done before: he tuned up for an exhibition match with a real fight. With an October 20, 2006 exhibition bout against Mike Tyson looming, Sanders went to the island of Tobago last week and faced local prospect Kerston Manswell in a ten-rounder over the weekend. Sanders lost a unanimous decision to the undefeated Manswell by scores of 98-93, 98-92 and 98-91, but it probably wasn't as bad it sounds for Sanders, who is now credited with five straight losses since defeating Oleg Maskaev in 2002. Sanders knocked down Manswell, 12-0, in the seventh round, and according to the Trinidad Express, Manswell was "possibly saved by the bell" and "many Tobagonians thought the American had won" by decision. Seven days after going ten rounds with Manswell, Sanders will go four exhiiton rounds against Tyson in a Youngstown, Ohio exhibition. Meanwhile, Manswell hopes to fight a former Tyson conqueror, Danny Williams, for the British Commonwealth title in December or January. source: trinidad express
