Cordova to headline in Colorado

Press Release: Pueblo, Colorado will host a “Night Of Knock-Outs” show on February 11, 2006 at the Pueblo Convention Center. The main event will feature Marvin “Much-2-Much” Cordova, 7-0 with 5 KOs, in an eight-round bout at 140 pounds. His opponent is yet to be named. Considering the big step Cordova took last fight, taking on veteran Corey Alarcon who came in with 24 bouts under his belt, and the result, a 56 second knock-out, it may be time for Cordova to step up the competition once again. The co-main will feature Ronald “The American Dream” Johnson, 7-1, in his ninth professional fight. He will take on his toughest opponent to date in Nathan Martin who sports an impressive record of 8-4 with half of his wins coming by knock out. Look for fireworks in this one. Another bout will showcase bantamweight Ernie Marquez, 2-0, of Colorado’s famous fighting Marquez family. He will take on pro debuter Chris Segura in a four rounder. Tickets start at just $19 and are available at the Pueblo Convention Center box office or by calling 719-542-1100 or 702-349-5743.
