Contender Hannah Rapp killed at age 26

Featherweight contender Hannah Rapp was killed, possibly deliberately, while riding a bicycle in Brazos County. She was just 26 years old and a graduate of Purdue University in Indiana. Just last month, Rapp challenged Tiara Brown for the WBC version of the world title, losing a competitive fight by decision. That loss put Rapp's career mark at 8-1-1. According to KBTX.com, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office said an automobile driver named Charles Medina, passed two bicyclists, one of them being Rapp. But after passing them, investigators said Medina stopped his vehicle, reversed, and struck Rapp.Medina was arrested and charged with manslaughter. Boxingtalk sends its deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Hanna Rapp.
