Boxingtalk's newest photographer wins 1st place for feature photography at the BWAA's 2004 Photo Contest
| Boxingtalk's newest photographer, Jeff Julian, won 1st place for feature photography at the Boxing Writers Association of America's 2004 Photo Contest. Jeff Julian is a veteran photographer who has done significant work documenting the life of Muhammad Ali at Deer Lake, and now the life and ring experiences of Kermit "the Killer" Cintron. The winning picture was shot on the grounds of Deer Lake as Kermit Cintron was training for his showdown with Teddy Reid last July. Although Jeff was not with Boxingtalk at the time, he decided to join us in February shortly before the Margarito-Lujan fight (click here for photogallery). Besides being an award winning photographer, Mr. Julian goes out of his way to make others around him feel comfortable and is a true gentleman among the sport of boxing. Boxingtalk would like to congratulate Jeff Julian on his much deserved recognition and thank him for his years of dedication and significant contributions to the sport of boxing. |
