Colbert, Ramos go distance but remain unbeaten

Chris Colbert W8 Alberto Mercado: Super featherweight up-and-comer Chris Colbert improved to (12-0, 4 KOs) came away with a one-sided victory over rugged Alberto Mercardo (16-3-1). Colbert was in control for the overwhelming majority of the action. He got the better of it when he was pressing forward and it was more of the same when his back was against the ropes. Colbert's got work to do, but he's definitely one to keep a close eye on. Official scores were 80-72 on all three cards. Source: Fox

Jesus Ramos W4 Kevin Shacks: It was a night of firsts for teenage welterweight Jesus Ramos (10-0, 9 KOs). He went more than two rounds for the first time, he went the distance for the first time and he fought through blood, as an accidental clash of heads opened up a cut on the outside of Ramos eye in round two. Kevin Shacks (3-4-3) was game and had his moments, but he was never really in the fight despite giving Ramos some valuable experience. Official scores were 40-36 on all three cards. Source: Fox
