Cintron to be promoted by Bostick

According to published reports, welterweight Kermit Cintron  has signed a three-year contract with the new promoter on the block, Bobby Bostick of Florida. Cintron, who took a beating in his last bout, a failed WBO title bid against Antonio Margarito, could return as soon as October 8, 2005 in his home base of Reading, Pennsylvania. The power punching Cintron is 24-1 and still rated #9 at welterweight by Boxingtalk.  He was promoted to prominence by Main Events but Cintron's trainer said he was released after the Margarito loss. Bostick took the boxing world by surprise when he announced the signing of ex-welterweight champion Cory Spinks earlier this year. -Scott Shaffer
