Christine Vicens wants to win bare knuckles title for her children

The undefeated Christine Vicens believes she’s the fighter to finally dethrone BKFC flyweight champion Christine Ferea. “I am the one to beat her,” the Miami product says ahead of her showdown with Ferea on Dec. 21st at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, live worldwide on DAZN. Vicens is quick to praise Ferea as the most dominant female fighter in BKFC history. Vicens knows victory won’t come easily against Ferea, who boasts a 9-1 record heading into her record fifth BKFC title defense. But she’s ready to shock the world in Hollywood. [In BKFC, the flyweight limit is 125 pounds].

“I know that I have all the tools to win — mentally and physically — and I’m ready to bring home the belt,” Vicens says. “Aside from just being super tough and technically very good, I think Christine has had a tough life in general, and that builds a lot of resilience,” she adds.

“We may differ in our backgrounds, but I’ve been a fighter all of my life as well. That builds a lot of character and makes you the dog that you need to be in BKFC.”

The belt won’t just be for Vicens — it will be for her family. “It’s going to be amazing. I’ve envisioned it so many times, and it’s going to be particularly special because my kids are going to be there,” says Vicens, a married mother of two boys.  My kids didn’t attend my first fight because they were too young. They saw the bruises, but they wanted to see a belt. They wanted to see that prize, and in that moment something in me was triggered and winning the belt became my biggest goal.”
