Chicago fans invited to Oscar-Floyd press conference

Press Release: Dominic Pesoli's 8 Count Productions will host a free, open to the public, Chicago pep rally/press conference for the highly anticipated junior middleweight title fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. The event will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 10:00 am at the UIC Pavilion, located at 525 S. Racine Avenue. The fighters and camps will conduct a public pep rally/press conference and invite fans to be a part of the experience of the most anticipated boxing event in decades.  Kicking off the tour in  New York City on Feb 20, the tour will travel across the country making stops in Philadelphia, Washington, DC,  Chicago, Detroit, Miami, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Six-division world champion De La Hoya will meet the unbeaten, four-division world champion Mayweather, Saturday, May 5 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, the fight will be televised live on HBO Pay-Per-View at 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PST.
