Chazz Witherspoon scores TKO in Philly

Chazz Witherspoon TKO7 Chales Davis... Chazz Witherspoon stopped durable Charles Davis at 19 seconds of round seven at The Legendary Blue Horizon on Friday. Witherspoon had Davis in trouble throughout but also ate some shots from the 204-pound Davis.  Witherspoon hurt and subsequently dropped Davis in round six and finished the job shortly after the bell rang for round seven. Witherspoon, 17-0 with 11 KOs commented after the bout that he felt he could done even better, “I just wanted to stick to my game plan and a couple of times I deviated and tried to go after him whenever I could.  That is something I am trying to work on.  That is keeping my composure and sticking to the game plan.”
Davis felt that giving up 27 ½ lbs was the factor in the fight, “I am a cruiserweight.  I can’t keep taking on these big heavyweights.”  “I know I won the most rounds but I got tired in there.” source: Marc Abrams press release
 
Max Alexander W6 Demetrious Jenkins... The Philadelphia co-feature saw Max Alexander fight through a broken hand and right jab his way to a unanimous decision over Demetrious Jenkins by scores of 60-54 (twice) and 59-55. Alexander stays undefeated at 14-0-1.  “I broke my hand coming into this fight and I still won.  I didn’t throw my left hand one time,” said Alexander.  Jenkins, 21-15-1, was coming off a three year layoff. source: Marc Abrams press release
