Chad Dawson emerges as a contender

Chad Dawson W12 Eric Harding... Chad Dawson is a prospect no more. With Friday night's unanimous decision over Erik Harding in Santa Ynez, California, Dawson is now a full-fledged light heavyweight contender. Dawson was knocked down in the first round by Harding, an awkward left-hander who split two bouts with current world light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver and gave Roy Jones fits until a torn bicep ended his world title bid. Dawson got up and promptly adjusted to Harding's style. By the end of the bout, Harding, now 22-4-1, had lost  a lot of blood from a steady nosebleed. Dawson, who started his career as a middleweight, won by official scores of 117-110 (twice) and 116-111 to raise his record to 23-0. source: ShoBox
