Just minutes ago reliable sources close to the situation informed Boxingtalk.com that on December 4 Showtime Championship Boxing will televise an exciting lightweight match up between WBC lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo and former junior lightweight champ Joel "El Cepillo" Casamayor. The network was originally trying to make Castillo-Corrales but when terms could not be reached, Castillo-Casamayor immediately came to the forefront. Cedric Kushner, who along with Team Freedom promotes Casamayor, confirmed to Boxingtalk that the fight was in the works and when asked if it was the clear cut frontrunner for the December Showtime date Kushner replied, "I certainly hope so."
