Chad Brisson TKO5 Pedro Garcia...Fighting in the Winnipeg Convention Centre late Friday night, junior welterweight Chad Brisson stopped Pedro Garcia by knockout at 2:02 of the fifth round to improve to 20-2 for his professional career. Signed to a promotional deal with Russell Peltz, Brisson has not lost since dropping a majority decision to Billy Irwin in 2002. Garcia is listed at 31-41.  source: Winnipeg Sun

Larry Sharpe W10 Ali Nestor... On the same card,  Larry "Razor" Sharpe was floored in the first round but won a unanimous decision over Ali Nestor to hang onto the Canadian middleweight championship. Sharpe is from Western Canada, while Nestor is from out east, Montreal, and claimed it was a hometown decision.  Next up for Sharpe is a road trip to Australia or England this fall. source: Winnipeg Sun

James Cermak TKO2 David Whittom... Canadian  cruiserweight, James "Big Mac" Cermak scored a punishing second-roundstoppage of minor league hockey player David Whittom in the main event before 1,100 fans in Edmonton. Cermak, a sparring partner for world-class cruiserweight Dale Brown, improved to 8-0 with seven KOs. Whittom, more of a light heavyweight, suffered his first loss and is now 6-1-1. source: Edmonton Sun
