Can the silencer quiet the desert storm

PRESS RELEASE: When a fighter who is coming up through the ranks is faced with adversity, he not only has something to prove but realizes that in the presence of immediate danger, he has no option but to take apart his opponent. Such is the scenario for Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley (18-0, 10 KOs) who will square off against Nasser “The Silencer” Athumani (15-3-1, 13 KOs) on Friday, April 13 at The Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California.  Bradley, who is coming off 2 nationally televised ShoBox victories will clash in a grueling 10 rounder against African Champion Athumani, who is known for his dangerous southpaw style and powerful punch.

 

“I’m excited to return to Ontario, because it’s my backyard. I have something to prove in this fight, especially because I have so much support being that I am so close to my home in Palm Springs,” said Bradley. “I know what I am up against and it’s a tough challenge but I am so confident in my abilities as a fighter that I am already feeling nostalgia because this could very well be one of the last times my fans will get a chance to see me fight at this venue”.  Bradley, who is co-promoted by Thompson Boxing Promotions and Gary Shaw Productions, is currently is ranked by the WBC #5, WBA #9, and WBO #14.

 

Bradley-Athumani, is part of an outstanding night of boxing presented by Thompson Boxing Promotions, which will also feature Dominic Salcido (10-0, 6 KOs), a stellar prospect who recently fought on March 24 and February 23 after he suffered a hand injury that set him back for one year. Salcido is demonstrating he reacquired his punching power and his eagerness to get back on top.

 

Continuing the tradition of featuring only the best Inland Empire talent, middleweights Ivan Stovall (6-1, 4 KOs) of Pomona, California and Luis Lopez (13-8, 5 KOs) of Seattle, Washington will face off in a 6 round battle.  Other local talent includes lightweight Jesse Rivas (2-3-2, 1 KO) of Colton, California who will face Angel Flores (6-1) from Los Angeles, also heavyweight Hildo Silva (3-0, 1 KO) of Ontario, California will battle William Jackson (0-5) from Los Angeles.
