Boxing's longest-reigning world champion, Joe Calzaghe, and Peter Manfredo, Jr., runner-up on the first season of "The Contender" on NBC (the second season was televised on ESPN), will host a news conference announcing their super middleweight title tilt, Next Tuesday, November 28. Joining Calzaghe and Manfredo at the news conference will be five-division world champion Sugar Ray Leonard, London-based promoter Frank Warren, pioneering reality TV producer Mark Burnett, and Jeff Wald, an executive producer of "The Contender." Promoted by Sports Network, in association with The Tournament of Contenders, Calzaghe-Manfredo will take place Saturday, March 3 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. HBO World Championship Boxing will broadcast it in the United States. Calzaghe (42-0, 31 KOs), from Newbridge, Wales, has successfully defended his world title 19 times -- sixth-best on the all-time list -- since winning it in 1997. Manfredo Jr., from Providence, RI, boasts a huge following and a record of 26-3 with 12 Kos.
