GL: How's everything going in preparation for your showdown with Eddie Chambers? "Everything is going well and on time. I'm training hard, I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. I have a great peace of mind because I know I'm going to win this boxing match and people are going to see a new Calvin Brock."
GL: A new Calvin Brock? How so?Calvin Brock: "I'm bigger and stronger. I won't be as light, but I'll still be lean. I think I've been overtraining myself and that's why I lost to Klitschko. You're going to see a bigger, stronger faster Calvin Brock on November 2."
GL: What do you think of Eddie Chambers as a fighter?CB: "I think he's pretty good and he's got fast hands, but looking at him box, the three times I've seen him, he's not going to be a problem."
GL: Will you solve this problemless fight within the distance?CB: "I don't know. If he does make the distance, it'll be because he's not fighting back. If he's fighting back I don't think he's going to make the distance. But if he's not fighting and it's just defense the whole time, I might not knock him out because it's hard to knock someone out when they're looking to survive."
GL: What do you think about the IBF's four man box off?CB: "I don't know, I just try to take it one fight at a time. Who knows what could happen? I might be able to fight in a world title fight with somebody else, you know how boxing is, you have to take it 24 hours at a time. I feel like I win this tournament and I'll go face Klitschko again and if he's still champion the rematch would be different. Getting him in the ring again is my goal."
GL: Who do you like in Byrd-Povetkin?CB: "I don't know I haven't seen Povetkin fight."
GL: How do you feel about so many of the Eastern European heavyweights pulling out of or postponing their fights?CB: "That's why I said I just take it twelve hours at a time. One guy could get hurt and I might end up fighting for one of those titles. I don't care about those guys or why they're getting hurt because I got Chambers in front of me and I have to deal with him."
GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?CB: "Stay with Calvin Brock because I will be the champ, you can bank on it. Tune into Showtime on November 2 to watch me take out Eddie Chambers and keep your eyes on the prize and the prize is the Boxing Banker, I will be the champ, there's no doubt about it."
