Kermit “The Killer” Cintron (26-1, 24 KOs) has spent the last several weeks in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains training with Emmanuel Stewart and other fighters from Detroit’s Kronk Gym in preparation for his October 28th showdown with Mark “The Poison” Suarez (25-2, 13 KOs) for the IBF welterweight title vacated by Floyd Mayweather, Jr.  Suarez is ranked #1 by the IBF, and Cintron is ranked #2.  Vladimir Klitschko, Andy Lee, and Jonathon Banks are also training at the same Caesar’s Resort for their upcoming fights. 

Cintron vs Suarez will be the main event in a nine-bout card being promoted by Bobby Bostick Promotions at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Also featured will be undefeated cruiserweight Jonathon Banks (12-0, 9 KOs) and undefeated middleweight Aaron Pryor, Jr. (6-0, 4 KOs).

Cintron’s last fight was at the same venue in April when he faced and defeated David Estrada in what was the first fight in ESPN’s 25 year history to become an “Instant Classic”.
