Last night IBF heavyweight champion, Chris Byrd told Boxingtalk.com that he was severely misquoted by another boxing website earlier this week. "That's why I'm not talking to press too much anymore, because most of them misquote me continously. I never said those things about John. I'm not afraid to fight anybody and I'm not going to tear down somebody I want to unify titles with. I've always given John Ruiz all of the props in the world. Why would I want to do anything but pump him up so we could have a big fight," Byrd rhetorically asked.
