World middleweight champion Jermain Taylor's chief trainer, Patrick Burns, told Boxingtalk that he is surprised that former WBO middleweight titleholder Felix Sturm turned $750,000 plus the valuable German television rights to face Taylor in Little Rock, Arkansas on HBO. "Whoever is advising Felix Sturm to turn down $ 750,000 has made a huge mistake. I don't know what Sturm's people are thinking turning down three quarters of a million for a shot at the titles." Taylor is now looking to settle on his next opponent, with a decision likely in the next two weeks as to whether top contender Winky Wright will get the next opportunity.
