Broadway Boxing returns in style on Wednesday night!

Two of DiBella Entertainment’s brightest local heroes – Brooklyn’s undefeated Dmitriy “Star of David” Salita (25-0-1, 15 KO’s) and Manhattan’s red hot Edgar “El Chamaco” Santana (18-2, 12 KO’s) – will share top billing in doubleheader main events on Wednesday night, September 20th in the Hammerstein Ballroom at Manhattan Center in New York City on the next edition of Broadway Boxing Presented by StubHub.

Two televised shows will be taped at the September 20th edition of Broadway Boxing which will feature two main events and two co-features plus an exciting undercard.

Fighting out of Brooklyn, Dmitriy Salita has a stellar ring record of 25-0-1, including 15 wins by way of knockout. “Star of David” returned to the Broadway Boxing scene on July 20th to uncork a powerful sixth round TKO of Shad Howard. Salita will square off against Francisco Campos (21-7-1, 12 KO’s) of Costa Rica in one of two main event bouts. Both are scheduled for 10 rounds in the junior welterweight division.

A native of Manati, Puerto Rico, now fighting out of Spanish Harlem, Edgar Santana has become an exciting fixture on the New York circuit over the past two years. “El Chamaco” has reeled off nine straight Broadway Boxing victories; all in impressive fashion, en route to 13 consecutive wins overall. Santana will take on Vladimir Khodakovskiy (14-9-2, 3 KO’s) correct spelling and record of the Ukraine in the other main event.

The star studded undercard will be highlighted by the Broadway Boxing debut of David Estrada. The talented and battle-tested welterweight contender Estrada (18-3, 9 KO’s) gets back in the ring following a “Fight of the Year” candidate war in April of this year against Kermit Cintron which was named an ESPN Instant Classic, and a close, tough decision loss to former world champion “Sugar” Shane Mosley in the spring of 2005. Estrada’s fight will be one of two co-featured bouts on this special “Double” Broadway Boxing presented by StubHub.

Estrada will try to get back on the winning track on the Broadway Boxing show against Clarence Taylor (11-9-2, 5 KO's), and then his sights set on an opportunity to face WBO junior welterweight champion Miguel Cotto or WBO welterweight kingpin Antonio Margarito nextr.

Local unbeaten prospects will also be showcased including Dash-DiBella Promotions’ featherweight sensation, Staten Island’s Gary “Kid” Stark (16-0, 8 KO’s) when he steps into the ring against Carlos Diaz (9-6-3 7 KO’s) of Tampa, Florida in an eight round bout. Stark has triumphed six times on Broadway Boxing. His bout will be the second co-feature on the show.

Manhattan’s popular Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin (6-0, 5 KO’s) aims to delight fans and add on to his unblemished record when the power punching prospect meets Brad Austin (8-1, 5 KO’s) of Johnson City, Tennessee in a six round middleweight showdown. Unbeaten lightweight Jorge Teron (11-0, 8 KO’s) of the Bronx will also be in action in a six round lightweight contest against Lenny DiVictoria (8-5, 2 KO’s).

Other scheduled bouts feature Prenice Brewer, who is coming off  a thrilling draw against Roberto Acevedo on the July 20th Broadway Boxing in his pro debut, in a four round junior welterweight battle against Shavaris Buie, making his pro debut,  and Atlantic City’s Patrick Majewski , also making his  pro debut taking on Terry Peacock (0-0-1).
