Broadway Boxing lineup set for wEDNESDAY

Press Release: Staten Island, New York's Gary “Kid” Stark, Jr. (18-1, 8 KOs) will take center stage in the main event vs. Miami’s Andres Ledesma (13-5, 8 KOs) on Wednesday night, May 2, 2007 when DiBella Entertainment’s Broadway Boxing Presented by StubHub returns to the Grand Ballroom at Manhattan Center in New York City.

Fighting out of Staten Island, Stark has a stellar ring record of 18-1, including 8 by knockout. Stark’s one career loss was a highly controversial decision coming in his last outing on February 16th. In a bout with high energy and fast-paced action from start to finish in which both boxers fought valiantly, “Kid” lost to Mike Oliver at Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma. Prior to the loss, Stark reeled off 18 consecutive victories.

The evening will also be highlighted by an appearance by DiBella Entertainment’s undefeated super middleweight James “Buddy” McGirt, Jr. (14-0, 8 KOs) as he takes on Brad Austin (8-1, 5 KOs) in a ten-round super middleweight affair. McGirt, the flashy southpaw, comes into the bout undefeated with six of his last eight victories coming by way of TKO. Most recently, he defeated Anthony Little with a fourth round TKO on the February 17th installment of HBO’s Boxing After Dark.

James Moore will take on Puerto Rico’s Angel Gonzalez (5-3-1, 3 KOs) in a six-round middleweight bout. The undefeated Moore disposed of eight of his ten opponents with a knockout. In his last match, Moore defeated Edson Aguirre with a third-round TKO in Franklin Square, NY.

Newly signed DBE fighter Juliano Ramos (14-1, 11 KOs) will make his Broadway Boxing debut in a six round junior welterweight clash.

Local standout Jorge Teron (15-0-1, 9 KOs) of the Bronx will also appear on the card in an eight-round junior welterweight bout as he takes on Jovann Jones (9-3, 4 KOs).
