Briggs to fight a pressure fight vs. Adamek

Press Release: Australian Paul “Firepower” Briggs has weighed in exactly on the division limit of 175 pounds for his WBC light heavyweight title Fight against Tomasz Adamek. The defending champion, Adamek weighed in at 174lbs. The weigh-in took place earlier today in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Chicago, O’Hare.
After last year’s ferocious battle which was won by Adamek, Briggs-Adamek II promises to be a highly charged bout. It will also be the first time Paul Briggs will step in to the ring with his new “Firepower” nickname. The rematch at the Allstate Arena, near Chicago, Illinois, will be broadcast for Australian fans on Foxtel Main Event from 11 am this Sunday. “Last bout I said everything I needed to say and this time around it’s just about doing it, Briggs said.  “This is going to be great because I get to go back into the lion’s den and get the loss back.  He couldn’t hurt me last time and I know he does have power but the pressure we are going to put on him is going to be ridiculous.”
