Press Release: Cedric Kushner’s Gotham Boxing brings heavyweight boxing to center stage with “Heavyweight Extravaganza” featuring Shannon Briggs in the main event, and comebacking David Tua in the co-feature on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the Grand Ballroom at Manhattan Center in New York City. Briggs, 47-4-1  with 41 KOs is a winner of 11 in a row. Tua has been one of the top names in the heavyweight division, as his 44-3-1 ring record illustrates, a ledger that includes 38 KOs. Tua had been idle for two years due to management problems, but won two fights in 2005. Puerto Rican standout Cindy Serrano will also appear on the card. The 24-year-old Brooklyn native has an unblemished pro record, reeling off 12 triumphs without a defeat, including seven KOs. The full undercard will be announced later.
