Bridgerweight action from Amsterdam

Angel Raymond Morejón TKO3 Willy Kyakonye ... On Monday, the sold-out Koninklijk Theater Carré in Amsterdam, packed with an enthusiastic crowd of 1,500 fans, saw Ángel Raymond Morejón stop Willy Kyakonye in a battle of undefeated bridgerweights via a third-round technical knockout. After an accidental low blow from Kyakonye, the Cuban-born Morejon returned to action with determination and, with just ten seconds remaining in the opening round, unleashed a powerful combination that sent the Ugandan-born Kyakonye to the canvas. Although Kyakonye beat the count, he was visibly hurt and the round concluded with a decisive 10-8 score. In the second round, Morejón maintained absolute control of the action, dictating the pace with superior reach and precision to secure the round 10-9 on the scorecards.
The end arrived in the third round, when Morejón dropped Kyakonye once again with sharp, accurate combinations. Recognizing the severity of the punishment at 1:08 of the round, Kyakonye’s chief cornerman, Vincent Stikkolorum, immediately threw in the towel to stop the fight and safeguard his fighter’s well-being.
