With Eric Morel out of action due to legal problems stemming from sexual assault charges, WBO 115-pound titlist Fernando Montiel had to find a new opponent. According to Mexican source esto.com, Montiel is now scheduled to fight Evert Briceno. At 21-2, Briceno had some good wins in his home country of Nicaragua but has never fought oustide of the capital city, Managua. Montiel, at 30-1-1, has faced much tougher competition than the new challenger.
