Brian Minto stops Axel Schulz comeback in its tracks

Brian Minto TKO6 Axel Schulz Brian Minto went to Germany and defeated local hero Axel Schulz in six rounds. Schulz hadn't fought in eight years and on top of the rust, he also tired quickly. Minto said afterwards that he realized he was going to win in the second round. He knocked Schulz down with a right in the fourth round, and by then, Schulz's eye was beginning to swell and his face was all marked up. In the midst of absorbing a combination of punches durng the sixth round, Schulz turned his back on Minto to end the bout. Minto is now 27-1. It was a sad night for the German fans, as their beloved Schulz showed little and indicated he would head back into retirement. He hangs up his gloves at 26-5-1, having lost three IBF heavyweight title fights. many feel he deserved to win two of them, against George Foreman (he lost a majority decision) and Francois Botha (he lost a split decison later changed to a no-contest due to Botha's steroid use). His other losses came against Wladimir Klitschko and Michael Moorer. source: rtl internet broadcast
