Press Release: Leading South African boxing promoters Branco Sports Productions (BSP) face a hectic schedule next weekend, where they will be involved in three major bouts on two different continents. The marathon weekend gets underway on Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Orient Theatre in East London, South Africa with an all-South African strawweight battle between defending champion Zukisani Kwayiba against former national champion Sithembile Kibiti (17-2). The unbeaten 20-year-old Kwayiba (10-0) annexed a regional title from previously unbeaten Gabriel Pumar last September. The following day (March 31), South African national welterweight kingpin Lucky Lewele will be attempting to defeat Alpaslan Agazum at the famous Olympia Hall in Munich, Germany. Lewele (23-3) will be hoping to bring back the same regional title that Agazum (33-2) took from his compatriot Joseph Makringe last year. The fight will take place on the Virgil Hill-Henry Maske,” explained Branco. The action then shifts back to East London on Sunday April 1, when Ali Funeka (27-1-2) faces All-Africa and Ghanaian national champion, Yakubu Amidu (13-0).
