Oklahoma warrior Alex Saucedo has announced his retirement from the sport, revealing he suffered two brain bleeds in his last fight, a loss to Arnold Barboza in which Saucedo incredibly lasted the ten-round distance despite the two brain injuries. Saucedo finishes up with a 30-2 record and a reputation as a warrior and fan favorite. His other loss was in a WBO title challenge vs. Maurice Hooker, a thriller in which Saucedo knocked Hooker down before getting stopped in round seven. Boxingtalk salutes Alex Saucedo on a fine career and wishes him success and happiness in his post-boxing life.
