GL: What's the latest and greatest Pete? "I'm going to be fighting in the Roseland Ballroom [New York City]Â on December 13. It's going to be my first fight since the Cirpriani joint on September 5. I'm definitely going to get it in and I'm going to show people a different Kid Chocolate."
GL: Who will you be fighting?Peter Quillin: "I'm not really sure right now, but I couldn't give two of those f things and camel crap. I'm going to blast whoever they put me in there with. I'm just going to try to get them out of there in the same fashion that I've been doing. I've been a killer and I want to establish myself as a killer."
GL: Were you disappointed that your last fight went the distance?PQ: "No. I'm still learning. I dropped him though and he had never been down. I probably could have finished him, but it is what it is at the end of the day."
GL: What did you think about the Pavlik-Taylor fight?PQ: "I think it was a great competitive fight and a great thing for the middleweight division. I'm going to be showcasing my talent soon, but Kelly Pavlik showed his ability to get off the canvas and become a champion and that's exactly what he did. He came back even stronger and showed his heart. I give all credit to him."
GL: What are your goals for 2008?PQ: "To get in line for some sort of small title or in the top ten. Whatever my people have planned for me, I'm ready for whatever they tell me. If they tell me I'm ready to fight for the title next year, I'm going to do that. I'm just going to wait and see what they're talking about. I'm going to definitely be ready."
GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?PQ: "I'm on 24 hour standy for Boxingtalk whenever they call. It's already written for me to become champion. I limit a lot of things in my life to become a world champion and that's what I'm looking to do."
