Jose Aguirre: What have you been up to since your fight with Jeff Lacy? "Nothing much. Training and getting ready for a fight with Markus Beyer." What can you tell us about that fight being made "I'm excited about it. It's for the WBC championship of the world. I'm going to continue to do my best in training and go out there and bring back the belt to the U.S."

JA: When will you begin training for this fight?

OS:"I have already been training for two months already."

JA: The fight is not until Sept 3rd. When do you really pick up training for the fight?

OS:"I always pick up training about one, two months before. Like right now."

JA: What can you tell us about Markus Beyer? What do you know about him?

OS:I know he's a strong fighter. He's a southpaw and he's a champion. I have to give him credit just for becoming champion. It has to be hard. I know he's a crafty fighter and he's been around but all I have to worry about is what I have to do. I just have to train hard and basically I have to try and knock him out
out there."
 
JA: Do you believe that will be the only way for you to win this fight?

OS"Yes, to tell the truth."

JA: Don't you think going out there looking for the knockout could be something that could work against you?

OS:"A little bit. I'm just going to fight my fight and hopefully just do what I have to do and I'll catch him."

JA: How excited are you to once again be fighting for a world championship?

OS:"Oh man, I'm more excited than ever to be in this opportunity again. I'm very thankful and I just have to take full advantage of it."

JA: You have always been an action packed fighter in every fight that fans have seen you in. What does it mean to you to be a fighter who brings the fans what we crave?

OS:"They are the people who make us, the fans. I know they love the way I fight and that's the biggest thing that I want to do is become champion so I can show the fans that I'm a world champion and that I'm going to keep giving them what they like to see and that's nothing but action."

In your last fight you gave a good showing versus Jeff Lacy. What are your thoughts on Lacy as a fighter and champion?

OS:"Lacy is a good championbut alot of people thought I beat him. I thought I pulled it out in a very close fight and I believe me and him will definitely meet
again down the road."

JA: What are your plans come fight time?

OS:"I want to make a statement. I want to let people know that this is my chance to be a world champion. I just want people to know that I'm here and I'm ready to make some noise in boxing."

JA: Omar, if there is anything you want to tell your fans and the people all around the world on Boxingtalk, what is that?

OS:"I just want to let them know that Markus Beyer and I are fighting on Sept 3rd for the WBC championship of the world. Keep supporting because I will become champion God willing. After that everything else is out there for me to make some real big noise."
