Boxingtalk's Fire With Jeffrey Resto

Jeffrey Resto (19-2, 13 KO's) is 1-1 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The loss coming at the hands of Michael Warrick in July of last year. Since then Resto has returned with a third round TKO over Wilmer Torres. Now he will get the chance to even the score when he steps into the ring once again versus Michael Warrick on April 28th at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Boxingtalk was able to speak with Jeffrey Resto about his rematch with Warrick and his plans for the future. See what else he had to say.

Jose Aguirre: You have an upcoming rematch against Michael Warrick on April 28th at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Give us your thoughts on it.

Jeffrey Resto: "I feel real good. I'm very happy that Warrick accepted the fight. Just ready to put on another good fight for everybody at the Manhattan Center."

JA: Did you get the chance to go back and watch the last fight with Warrick and if so what did you think about it?

JR: "I was satisfied with the decision and I think it was a good fight."

JA: What things will you do different as opposed to the last fight?

JR: "I think back then I wasn't really thinking in the ring. This time I'm going to be thinking. Moving around, boxing, picking my shots. I think that's going to be the difference."

JA: What are you expecting from Warrick come fight time?

JR: "I'm thinking he's going to fight the same way but I'm also thinking that he's going to box me. I seen some tapes and I seen that he's a good boxer so he may try to do that. Another thing he may also try to go the the body because he hurt me last time so he may try to come to the body early on. I'm ready."

JA: Your last fight on February 24th against Wilmer Torres ended in a 3rd round TKO. Tell us about that fight and how you felt.

JR: "During the fight I didn't feel comfortable. Maybe it was ring rust or something but when I saw it on tape I looked sharp. Just a step slow but I looked good anyway."

JA: How's training going for this fight?

JR: "Pretty good. Going real well right now. Very confident that everything is coming along."

JA: What can the fans expect from you on April 28th when you step into the ring?

JR: "I just hope Warrick comes with the same or in better condition than the last fight so we could make this officially the best fight of the year. Everybody to come watch this fight it's going to be a very good fight but this time i coming out with the win."

JA: Share your thoughts on the junior welterweight division?

JR: "There is alot of talent in that division and I hope I have the luck to fight most of the champions that are up there."

JA: Aything you want to say to the boxing public and people all around the world on Boxingtalk.com?

JR: "That Resto is coming to take over the junior welterweight division."
