BoxingTalk Goes One-on-One with J.C. Candelo, Eddie Sanchez and Buddy McGirt

BoxingTalk had our cameras rolling seconds after the main event of ESPN’s Friday Night Fights to get both J.C. Candelo’s and his upsetter Eddie Sanchez’ thoughts on how they felt their fight went down. Even though he made “no excuses” Candelo felt his opponent’s weight served as an advantage, while Sanchez, who acted as the late replacement for the undefeated Joachim Alcine, fought with inspiring heart and determination to not only take the victory away from Candelo, but to do it while simultaneously becoming the crowd-favorite. You won’t want to miss what these two fighters had to say about their most recent scrap and a possible rematch.

This past Friday was not his fighter’s night, but still Buddy McGirt sat down with BoxingTalk’s own Darren Nichols to share his thoughts on what went wrong in J.C. Candelo’s scrap with Eddie Sanchez. McGirt goes into detail about what he was urging Candelo in between rounds to do once the action resumed, and now after losing against Sanchez, what he would advise his fighter to do next. McGirt also spills the beans on his hottest client Arturo “Thunder” Gatti, about his recent knockout of Leonard Dorin, and what might be in store for Gatti in the near future.
