Boxing manager manager Cameron Dunkin passed away after a long illness. Cameron, who resided in Las Vegas, worked with more than 30 world champions since he came to the sport in the late 1980s. In 2007, Dunkin won the Cus D’Amato Award for Manager of the Year. Former champion Brandon Rios issued this tribute: "I am saddened by the news of Cameron Dunkin passing. He along with my coach and good friend Robert Garcia were the ones that brought me to California to train with Garcia Boxing. Cameron always believed in me as a fighter. May he rest in peace. Much love and respect for Cameron." Dunkin's last champion was IBF welterweight king Boots Ennis. Besides Rios and Ennis, Cameron's client roster also included Kelly Pavlik, Tim Bradley, Diego Corrales, Steve Johnston, Mikey García, Freddie Norwood, Steve Luevano, Johnny Tapia, Marc Johnson and Danny Romero. Boxingtalk sends its sympathies to the friends and family of Cameron Dunkin.
