Bowe A Go With Live Star

Press release: With a goal of a return to the top, former undisputed heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe has signed a new promotional agreement with Live Star Entertainment LLC. Bowe will be represented by Live Star’s Eric Drath. “This is a golden opportunity for Riddick Bowe to again show the world that he is truly one of the greatest boxers of all-time. He is currently in training for several bouts this fall, and is mentally and physically ready to go,” said Drath.

Few athletes have created the excitement of Riddick Bowe. Two fights and two victories into a comeback, his appeal combined with his impressive ring accomplishments make Bowe a tough act to ignore on an otherwise mediocre heavyweight landscape. “I’m focused and I’m ready to do whatever it takes to get back to the top. I look forward to working with my new team; who I know can do the job,” said Bowe.

Bowe (42-1, 33 KOs) won the heavyweight championship in the first of three epic fights with Evander Holyfield. The Bowe-Holyfield trilogy was so exciting; it has been compared to the classic three fight series between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. In addition to two victories over the great Holyfield, Bowe has defeated former champions Pinklon Thomas, Tony Tubbs, Bruce Seldon, Michael Dokes and Herbie Hide as well as former top contenders, Bert Cooper, Tyrell Biggs, Pierre Coetzer, Jesse Ferguson, Larry Donald and Andrew Golota. Most recently, on April 7, 2005, Bowe won a ten-round decision over Billy Zumbrun in Temecula, CA.

Live Star’s Eric Drath, a television producer and fight agent, has represented over 25 fighters in world title fights and has worked with former and current champions including Prince Naseem Hamed, Angel Manfredy, Agapito Sanchez and Zab Judah.
