Booth-Napa II to decide British bantam title

Press Release: The vacant British bantamweight title will be at stake when Jason Booth clashes with Ian Napa this Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Robin Park Arena in Wigan, England. For Booth, 27-4 with 10 KOs, the bout will determine if he still has the goods to compete at top level following his 2004 loss to Damaen Kelly  at 115 pounds and a subsequent two year layoff. Booth has had two wins since coming back to the ring in November. Napa, 13-6 with no KOs, also took a layoff following a loss to Kelly in 2005, but he is coming off a good showing against European champion Simone Maludrottu in a failed title bid this past March.  Napa and Booth squared off as flyweights with Booth retaining his British and Commonwealth titles by decision in 2001. The show will also feature Mark Thompson's fight against Vincent Vuma for a regional light middleweight title. Tickets are available by logging onto www.frankmaloney.com or by calling the Box Office at 0871 226 1508. The fight is also televised live on Sky TV.
