María Micheo Santizo, a 41 year-old Guatemalan and Mai Soliman of Australia, fought to a draw after ten rounds in a WBC super flyweight final eliminator in Commerce, California. According to the WBC, it was a closely contested fight. Micheo (14-7-2) found success with her left hooks, while Soliman (10-2-1) finished the final round strongly. The scorecards reflected the differing views at ringside: one judge had it 99–91 for Soliman, another scored it 97–93 for Micheo, and the third saw it 95–95, making the official result a split draw. But Hall of Fame commentator Al Bernstein (pictured) thought Soliman was robbed. Bernstein tweeted, "So, Soliman  has handled an outrageous injustice done to her with astonishing grace. What two either incompetent or biased  judges (I vote for biased) did to  her was shameful. Honestly they should be suspended from judging and probably never allowed to judge another pro  fight again. Tiffany Clinton's score of 97-93 for Micheo was especially abysmal but the 95-95 score was also atrocious."
