Former WBC 130-pound champion Miguel “El Alacrán” Berchelt (38-3) returns to Yucatan to face Diego “El Profeta” Ruiz in a lightweight match on October 14th, live on DAZN. The fight will take place at the Poliforum Zamna in Merida, Mexico. The duo headline Golden Boy Fight Night on DAZN: Mexico Edition, with Berchelt stepping back into the ring for the first time since losing to Jeremiah Nakathila in March 2022. That loss made it two in a row, as Berchelt previously lost his title to Oscar Valdez in 2021. From Argentina, Ruiz's most recent outing was also a defeat, as he fell by unanimous decision to Alberto Ezequiel Melian in July.
