Bell changes nickname to The Super Nova!

PRESS RELEASE: The powerhouse IBF Cruiserweight Champion of the World formerly known as ONeil “Give Em Hell” Bell, has announced to the world that he has changed his Professional name to, ONEIL“ THE SUPER NOVA “ BELL.  As ONeil Bell prepares to defend his World Championship Belt in the upcoming months, he has made major changes in his personal and professional life. 


In addition to developing the blueprint of his life and training for his next fight, Bell took time to attend The Book Bank Foundation’s 2nd Annual Urban Vanguarde Awards Ceremony in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ONeil Bell is a spokesman and advocate for the organization that combats illiteracy and develops programs to empower the needy. The fundraiser was a star-studded event that brought out many dignitaries and powerbrokers from across the country. Bell along with Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins, joined forces to support the fundraiser.

Bell announced his name change at a press conference prior to the start of The Book Bank Foundation’s 2nd Annual Urban Vanguarde Awards. Bell explained to the media, “ I thought it would be a change for the better. It’s time for better things. Now that I am the IBF Champion of the World, the name “Super Nova” represents change and creation. I am rebuilding my life in and out of the ring.” Celebrity Sports Manager Glenn Toby, who founded The Book Bank Foundation, stated  at the event that “ONeil has a vision and part of it is to transform, not just him but the entire industry. Hopefully his work and diligence will have an impact on the entire world.  I am proud to be a part of this legacy”.
