Bazan Heads To Chicago

Press Release: Telefutura's Solo Boxeo series comes to Chicago on October 15 when Hawthorne Race Course hosts former lightweight champion Cesar Bazan, 43-6-1 (20KO's) in a ten rounder against Francisco Campos, 17-1-1 (9KO's). Bazan is rated #13 in the junior welterweight division by Boxingtalk. The co-main features Illinois State middleweight champion, "Macho" Miguel Hernandez, 13-1 (8KO's), dedicated the bout to his grandparents. "They're unable to make it to my fights, so this is their first opportunity for them to see one of my boxing matches [on television]." No opponent yet for Hernandez. The card, billed as Latin Showdown, will be promoted by Dominic Pesoli's 8 Count Productions along with Bob Arum's Top Rank Incorporated.
