Will Chris John fill the void?

Boxingtalk has been informed that former WBO junior lightweight titlist Jorge Barrios has been forced to withdraw from his September 15 bout with Juan Manuel Marquez for medical reasons that will prevent him from passing his physical. The Golden Boy Promotions brass was unavailable for immediate comment, perhaps because they are currently working on a potential rematch with Marquez's conqueror Chris John, who is generally recognized as the world champion in the featherweight category.  There will be more to follow, until then Remember where you heard it first!
