Barrios-Juarez in discussion for Barrera undercard!

Boxingtalk.com has been informed that a deal has nearly been finalized for WBO junior lightweight champion Jorge Barrios to defend his title against 2000 Olympic silver medallist Rocky Juarez as the televised co-feature to junior lightweight king Marco Antonio Barrera's March 25 HBO World Championship Boxing date. For reasons unbeknownst to Boxingtalk Juarez is getting a 130 pound title shot despite only defeating Reynaldo Hurtado since suffering his first loss at the hands of Humberto Soto. Hurtado had been stopped three times in a row heading into his fight with Juarez, including a seventh round stoppage loss to a 117 pound Fernando Montiel. One has to wonder if Juarez has the credentials to warrant such an opportunity at a weight he's yet to compete at. They don't call them the WBOgus for nothing.
