Moments ago heavyweight contender Monte Barrett informed Boxingtalk.com that he has signed on to face WBA heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev on October 7 or October 14.  Barrett stated that it is his understanding Valuev has also signed for the fight and is just waiting to hear from DKP with the exact date and place.  Remember where you heard it first!
