James Hare will face undefeated David Barnes for the British welterweight title on November 12, 2004 in Halifax, England, according to the website of promoter Frank Warren.  Although Barnes is the defending champion, it is Hare who is more highly regarded in the Boxingtalk ratings, rated at #19.  Hare is 30-1-1 with his lone loss coming at the hands of Cosme Rivera in 2003. Barnes is 15-0 but his title win over Jimmy Vincent in 2003 could have easily gone to Vincent, who had a double-digit loss total coming in.
