Jesse Rodriguez KO2 Pedro Guevara ... Two-division champion Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez retained his WBC super flyweight championship with an easy knockout win over well-credentialed Pedro Guevara of Mexico. Guevara had not been stopped in 47 prior fights. Rodriguez scored two knockdowns in round two, the first with a body shot and the second with an uppercut. Guevara did not get up from the second knockdown. Rodriguez, from San Antonio, Texas, is now 21-0. The 35 year-old Guevara is now 42-5-1 and possibly at the end of a fine career. He reigned as a junior flyweight champion from 2014-2015. In his last fight prior to this loss, he won the WBC interim title by defeating Andrew Moloney in Mloney's home country, Australia. All of Guevara's losses have been to champions: Rodriguez, Kenshiro Teraji, Carlos Cuadras, John Riel Casimero and Yu Kimura. If this is the end for Guevara, he goes out with a Boxingtalk salute.
