Former IBF Bantamweight Champion Tim Austin says he wants to fight Manny Pacquiao in Manila, and boldy predicts he will knock him out. Boxingtalk just caught up with the former champion, and this is what he had to say.

BT - Tim you lost your title back in February 03 against Rafael Marquez, what do you have in the works now?

TA - We are pursuing a fight with Manny Pacquiao, in his homeland of The Philippines.

BT - Freddie Roach mentioned that they would like to have a stay busy fight in The Philippines, why do you feel you deserve a shot at Pacquiao?

TA - I deserve it, I have been chasing an opportunity to fight a big named fighter, so I deserve it.

BT - How do you like your chances against Manny Pacquiao if you do get to fight him?

TA - I will win, I will knock Manny Pacquiao out.

BT - Tim you had what 9 Title defenses?

TA - Yea, I have defended my title 9 times. Unfortunately it didn't go my way against Marquez, it just didn't go my way.

BT - What do you think happened against Marquez?

TA - Well you have good days, and you have bad days, sometimes it just happens that way.

BT - Talk about your amateur career, you are out of Cincinnati a very strong amateur boxing city.

TA - When I was a kid I always had an interest to bring home medals, and trophies. It has always been a dream for me, and I accomplished a lot of my goals as an amateur, and now I am trying to accomplish my goals as a professional.

BT - You have a nice knockout ratio (27-1-24KO-1D), what style of fighter are you?

TA - I am boxer/puncher.

BT - Talk to your fans Tim.

TA - I am in training, and I am chasing a fight with Manny Pacquiao in his homeland of The Philippines.
