Arthur Abraham deposes Kingsley Ikeke

Press Release: German-based Armenian Arthur Abraham defeated Kingsley Ikeke by fifth-round knockout to claim the IBF middleweight title recently vacated by Jermain Taylor. After the victory Abraham, now 19-0, cried tears of joy in the ring.  "Today my childhood dream became true.  I am the luckiest human in the world!"  In the fifth round, Arthur met Ikeke with hard shot to the head.  Ikeke began to tumble toward the canvas and Abraham landed some final rights to seal the victory. The win could set up a German between Abraham and middleweight contender Felix Sturm, but they are promoted by rival companies. [Editor's note: For the second time today, the Boxingtalk ratings held up, as Abraham entered the bout #7, compared to #8 for Ikeke] source: Sauerland press release
