Cruiserweight Firat Arslan, rated #30 in the world by Boxingtalk, scored a unanimous decision over Carlos Cruzat in Göppingen, Germany. Arslan, fighting in his hometown, retained his regional title and improved to 24-3-1 with 16 knockouts. Cruzat dropped to 30-7 with 22 knockouts. Official scores were 120-108, 118-110 and 118-111. On the same show, heavyweight Alex Mazikin beat previously unbeaten Valerie Chechenev by unanimous decision over six rounds. Mazikin improved to 6-0. Chechenev dropped to 10-1. Also, former French Olympian Willy Blain, campaigning at 140 pounds, knocked out Belarussian Vitali Martynov in round two. source: Universum website
