Arrest made in Berbick slaying

Although they did not release the man's name, Jamiacan police have arrested a 20-year old man who will be charged with murdering former heavyweight titlist Trevor Berbick, by bludgeoning him and leaving him to die in a church courtyard next to his family's home. Berbick had four wounds to the back of the head, indicating he was probably attacked from behind with a machete. Berbick represented Jamiaca in the 1976 Olympics and fought professionally from 1976 to 2000, finishing with a record of 50-11-1 and 33 knockouts. He fought Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and Larry Holmes, beating Ali. source: associated press
