Heavyweight contender Cristobal Arreola (26-0 with 23 KOs) got off the canvas to score a technical knockout over Travis Walker (28-2-1) thirteen seconds into round three. Walker started off strong, landing more than four times as many punches as Arreola, enough to easily win the first round. Round two started off the same way: Walker was dominating and ended up flooring Arreola. But the knockdowns seemed to turn the light bulb on for Arreola as he came back to land a series of hard shots that dropped Walker twice. Walker was in bad shape and survived the round only because the bell sounded.
