Arreola added to Williams-Rios

While a national television audience tuning in to Wednesday's Goossen Tutor Promotions presentation of ESPN2’s “Wednesday Night Fights” will see unbeaten welterweight world contender Paul Williams take on Sergio Rios in the scheduled 10-round main event, fans in attendance will be treated to an exciting eight-bout undercard as well.

Goossen Tutor Promotions matchmaker Tom Brown has assembled an impressive array of talent for display at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino featuring unbeaten heavyweight knockout artist Chris Arreola and local crowd favorites Hector Alatorre and Jessica Rakoczy.

A Riverside, CA native, Arreola (14-0, 12 KOs) will take on Manuel Lee Ossie (32-5, 19 KOs), in a scheduled 8-round heavyweight bout.  Ossie, nicknamed the “German Destoyer” is coming in off an impressive twelve-round split decision win over Adewale Abbey of Ghana and vows to end the undefeated reign of Arreola.  Arreola, fighting out of the Goossen Tutor stable, has lived up to his nickname as “The Nightmare” by stopping all but two of his opponents with his impressive knockout power and now looking to add the strong chinned Ossie to his KO list.

While Arreola will be making his Tachi Palace debut, Alatorre and Rakoczy have established themselves as local fan favorites at Tachi with their relentless offensive attacks.

Alatorre (10-0, 5 KOs), from nearby Tulare, has become a star in Lemoore while appearing at Tachi for all of his professional bouts.  Most recently he garnered an eight-round unanimous decision over Jess Magana last December.  Alatorre will step into the ring against hard-hitting Arturo Quintero (14-3, 9 KOs), of Las Vegas, NV in an eight-round lightweight contest.  In eight of his last 10 wins, Quintero has registered knockouts.

Fighting out of Las Vegas, Canadian-born Rakoczy (22-2, 7 KOs) will face the devilish Angel McNamara (5-4-1, 2 KOs), of Cambridge, MD in a 6-round women’s attraction.  The bout is a rematch from their meeting late last year in which Rakoczy captured a unanimous decision.  Rakoczy, a former IBA Woman’s Lightweight Champion, will be boxing at Tachi for the 13th time in her last 14 fights, and is coming off a unanimous decision back in February.  McNamara decisioned Cynthia Jones last month in her most recent outing.

While the Williams-Rios bout is the main event on Wednesday night’s card, promoter Dan Goossen said, “the fans at Tachi will be treated to their favorite local fighters in Hector (Alatorre) and Jessica (Rakoczy), and I’m sure once they get a load of the all action, and heavy hitting Arreola, they’ll see a fighter that we all believe, may have the potential to climb to the top of the heavyweight ranks.”

Other bouts rounding out the undercard include a 6-round middleweight tilt between Fresno’s Frank Mondejar (12-2, 12 KOs) vs. Los Angeles Daniel Stanisavljevic

(6-6-2, 2 KOs); a 6-round heavyweight contest pitting Manuel Quezada of Bakersfield (12-4, 9 KOs,) vs. Eric Boose (7-0-1, 4 KOs, Puyallup, WA); a 4-round super bantamweight clash with Fresno pro debuting Yoshi Fuji against once beaten Ed Melendez of Bakersfield, CA; along with junior lightweight Saul Lomas of Fresno and junior welterweight Juan Herrera (10-3-1, 0 KOs, Orosi, CA) in scheduled 4 and 6-round bouts, respectively.
